Mike is an IT Infrastructure Project Manager at Southern California Edison and President of the Inland Empire Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC). He attended UCLA majoring in Chemistry and has earned certificates in Small Business Administration from Santiago Canyon College, Earth Station Technology from CSULB, DOD/Commercial Proposal Writing from Shipley, Writing Instruction from Dayton, and Contract Administration from UCLA Extension.

Originally a Chemist, Mike began technical writing in the 80's and managing projects and contracts in the 90's. He has held positions within STC of VP Programs, VP Membership, Committee Chairman, Webmaster, Newsletter Editor, and Treasurer, serving several terms.

Mike enjoys public speaking and writing. He has written over 120 technical publications and has taught at the university, college, and industry venues. Recent public speaking topics include Minimalistic Writing, Excel Tips and Tricks, and Building Your First Website.
