PMI California Inland Empire Chapter Commitment to Privacy

The PMI California Inland Empire Chapter (PMICIE) privacy policy was developed as an extension of our commitment to combine the highest-quality services with the highest level of integrity in dealing with our members, non-members and partners. This policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect, use and safeguard the personal information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our site and our services. This statement will be continuously assessed against new technologies, business practices and our members' needs.

What Information Do We Collect?

In order to enhance our website, we may track the way our visitors are using the site. Personal information is not included in this analysis. We do not follow your browsing path outside of pmicie.org. When you register for an activity, we may ask you to provide information including your name, postal address, email address and credit card number. We do not use or release any information for any purpose except to verify your transaction.

Credit Card Transactions

eServices processes our monthly dinner meeting credit card transactions. This professional payment authorization service was chosen for both security and reliability. Information collected during transactions is maintained in their database for accounting and billing purposes. Information from these transactions is not released to third parties and is not available to anyone outside of eServices.

Confidentiality

Registration data is the property of PMICIE and is subject to and protected by the Electronic Communications Privacy Act. PMICIE will not sell, rent, swap, or otherwise disclose your registration data to any third party. PMICIE maintains a link to a secured area for the transmission of registration data.

Updating User Information

If you need to permanently update your membership contact information, you will need to provide that information at the website managed by PMI headquarters. Log on with your PMI member number and password to www.pmi.org. If you have not received, or have forgotten your member password, please contact the PMI Customer Service department at (610) 356-4600, option 8 or pmihq@pmi.org.

Lost or Stolen Information

If your credit card or password is stolen or used without your permission, immediately notify PMICIE. Upon notification, PMICIE will cancel any events for which your credit card number has been used in the previous 7 days.

No Liability for Acts of Third Parties

Although PMICIE will use all reasonable efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of your registration data, transmissions made by means of the Internet cannot be made absolutely secure. PMICIE will have no liability for disclosure of registration data due to errors in transmission or unauthorized acts of third parties.

Legally Compelled Disclosure of Information

We may disclose information when legally compelled to do so when we, in good faith, believe the law requires it or for the protection of our legal rights.
