John Halberstadt - AI Governance for Project Managers: From Principles to Practice in 90 Days
Presentation Speaker
John Halberstadt
Presentation Abstract
Artificial intelligence is already influencing how projects are planned, delivered, and governed. Project managers are increasingly expected to understand not only how AI can improve delivery, but also how to govern its use responsibly. Aligned with PMI's newly released Standard for Artificial Intelligence in Portfolio, Program, and Project Management, this session presents a practical, technology-agnostic framework that helps project professionals integrate AI governance into existing project management practices.
Participants will explore the three domains where AI creates governance responsibilities, examine common AI risks, and learn a practical 90-day governance approach that emphasizes accountability, human oversight, and measurable business outcomes without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.

Presentation Speaker
Alexander (Sasha) Frumkin
Presentation Abstract
How often have you seen Scrum Masters or Coaches that are laser-focused on following the nuts and bolts of Scrum? Surprisingly, the teams do not come together, and effectiveness is not increasing. Sound familiar? People usually call them “purists”. While they may have good intentions, these people might be doing a disservice to the Scrum community. That’s because Scrum is a lightweight, non-prescriptive framework. In this presentation, Sasha Frumkin will explain how Scrum Teams and organizations not only comprehend the ‘Hows’ of Scrum, but first focus on the ‘Whys’ and ‘Whats’ of Scrum. As a result, these Scrum Teams and organizations will be able to figure out their ‘Hows’ and tap into the overall power of Scrum.
Learning Objectives include how to answer:

Presentation Title
Moving Forward with the Trust and Access Matrix™` A Personal and Professional Framework for Better Decisions
Presentation Speaker
James S. Reckon
Presentation Abstract
What happens when someone who once had your full trust no longer feels safe with the same level of access? What happens when a difficult stakeholder has too much influence, while a trusted voice is too far outside the conversation?
Most of us have thought about trust and access. We have felt both in relationships, teams, projects, and organizations. But we do not always ask the deeper question: Does this person’s access still match the level of trust that exists today?
The Moving Forward with the Trust and Access Matrix™ gives language, structure, science, and practical application to something many of us have experienced but may not have fully named.
Through storytelling, leadership lessons, and a little science, James introduces a personal and professional framework for evaluating trust, access, boundaries, stakeholder engagement, governance, and accountability.
This session helps participants recognize where trust and access are misaligned, understand why we stay stuck in sunk costs, and make clearer decisions that protect relationships, teams, projects, and outcomes.
Because moving forward is not about perfection. It is about showing up, learning as we go, and stringing base hits together until small decisions become real progress.
PMI Approved Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
